At the age of 17, I moved to London where I completed an apprenticeship with British Airways & became qualified as an aircraft engineer. The apprenticeship gave me a great foundation in electrical, electronic & mechanical engineering which has served me well up to present times. Several years after finishing my apprenticeship I became a fully Licensed Aircraft Engineer, authorised to sign out an aeroplane as fit to fly. I continued this line of work for nearly 10 years, but things were never quite the same after September 11th 2001 happened - the industry changed & it was time for me to move on.
I had always wanted to run my own business & an obvious career change was to become an electrician. Although highly qualified in the field of aircraft engineering, I needed to gain the necessary qualifications to become an electrician. I worked for EDF whilst I gained experience in the field & obtained my qualifications. Once qualified, I took the plunge, left EDF & JPW Electrics was born!
JPW Electrics was set up to fill a gap in the market, which was being left short by other companies. Many people I spoke to talked about tradesmen being unreliable, not returning calls, not turning up, not listening to their requirements, not finishing the job, leaving a mess, hiding extra charges etc. etc. The gap was for a tradesman whose first priority was YOU - "The Customer". A need for a professional who would complete all aspects of the installation to a high standard in FULL compliance with current requirements of Regulations and Safety and then clean up after themselves. I carry out my work in your property as though it were my own - if I wouldn't be happy with it in my property, I won't be happy with it in yours.
I have over 25 years experience of electrical installations. Over the years I have learnt that the recipe for being successful in my field and having happy customers is simple...
